Morae in EducationMorae is used by universities all over the world as a tool for usability research and user experience research, because it lets them observe how customers really interact with a Web site or application. Morae eliminates the constraints of a lab facility – recordings can be conducted in the office or in the field. And, this flexibility means that Morae can be easily integrated into the design process.
Using TechSmith’s patented Rich Recording Technology, Morae captures what users say and do. Screen video of the user’s interaction with the Web site or application is precisely synchronized with audio of the user’s comments and video of the user’s facial expressions.
Unlike other tools, which limit their capture to video and audio, Morae also captures rich, behind-the-scenes data, such as system events, Web page navigation, keyboard entry, text on the screen, and mouse clicks. Once a test is complete, the entire recording can be analyzed to pinpoint problems, and highlight videos can be produced to easily communicate the results to others.
